Some Weekend Words Challenge

This is a new something that I want to start playing.  I figure I can end the week with Self Portrait Friday and start the week with Weekend Words.  Each week a couple words will be posted over at The Odd Mix.

Mr. Odd hopes to see:

1. Creative interpretation – don’t necessarily go with the obvious answer. Surprise us with the way you portray the concept word.
2. Quality photography – framing, focus, content, exposure, contrast. The whole shebang.
3. Constructive Comments – I love, love, love having my photos critiqued (constructively) so I can improve. I want this challenge to be a learning experience.

I shall do my best.  Please be kind.  I've got to learn how to use this rockin' camera sometime!

 The words are:

1. Masculine

2. Feminine

Edit to add: I haven't figured out how to make my photos big yet.  You can click on them to see the large size.

Shaun's new love is the most masculine, testosterone thing that we now have.  It's his jeep. Just looking at his new tires screams out "Macho Man"  (Hey! I can tease him, but YOU better not!) I have to admit that there is a certain beauty in these huge monster tires.

Big Monster Tire

On the other side of the coin, we have the Mom Mobile.  Little dainty tires meant for hauling kids back and forth.  Not nearly as much fun, but still gets the job done.

There you go! Did you play?

Hey there. Great, creative pics for those words. Those work great. The Jeep tires are pretty manly, ready to play in the mud and climb steep hills and all those manly things.

  2. Shna says:

Great pics. I love the feminine tire, its so odd to think of tires as feminine at all 🙂

  3. Lucky Lum says:

    I dig it!

now maybe can you make those pics a little bigger?

  4. FA says:

Thanks for playing! I really like your take on the words.

I hope you will come back.

  6. graymama says:

I like that you chose items that are necessary. Our cars require tires just like the world requires both masculine and feminine aspects to stay in balance. Wonderful!

  7. lynanne says:

OMG, those are so perfect!!! How very appropriate!

  8. Jim says:

Looks like Mom needs a new set tires. Those look like they are down to the were bars.
