The Gifts

When I picked the girls up from martial arts, I told them that I had gotten them a little present.  They watched as I reached into my shopping bag and handed them their identical gifts. I was rather startled when they started to profusely thank me.  I had been expecting something more along the lines of rolling their eyes.  (They’ve both gotten really good at that).

Then they started enthusiastically asking me if they could decorate their new item.  “Can I glue rhinestones on it?” asked one.  “Oh, can I paint mine pink?”  “I can make this so cute!”

I had to look at them closely to make sure that they weren’t messing with me. To my amazement, they were serious.

“You do know what those are, don’t you?” I had to ask.

“Yes!” They both replied eagerly “They’re new kitty litter scoopers!”

Then one of them must have realized how inane they sounded as she all of a sudden looked at me and said “Don’t you dare put this on the blog!”

I just laughed.

You need to get them girls some craft items. Get them some (rocks, stones) so they can make fancy paper weights/door stops!
    love mom

That was so funny! How many other bloggers have heard that from friends and family?

“Peggy, if this goes in the blog, you’re dead!”
“Mum, please don’t put that photo in the blog”.

It all goes in I’m afraid.

LOL … anytime the kids beg not to put something on the blog, you know it’s gonna be good.

LOL. If we couldn’t embarrass our kids every now and then, life would not be worth living.

LMAO! How in the world did you get them to be so excited about kitty scoopers? You’re a miracle worker evidently. 🙂

That is a kick butt good idea. Much to our dismay we have to have a litter box in our upstairs bathroom. A bathroom that is only about 4X8. I can’t hide the scoop so why not decorate it. Thanks for the great idea. The girls are too darling. Of course you have to blog about stuff like that! Duh…………..

There are so many “blogable moments” each day. My daughter sometimes e-mails me things she thinks would make good posts. My how times have changed.

….and I bet if they came in a cardboard box that would have been extra good.. imagine what they could do with a box!

  10. I’m still thinking they had to be joking about those poop scoops….

I have a file at home called Blog Fodder. Everytime I think of something I’d like to blog about, I scribble it on a piece of paper and it goes into the file. When I get stuck for ideas, well…it comes in handy.

Decorating the scooper? What a GREAT idea!
