A Little Girl Time

I’m currently at Fort Worden on the Olympic Peninsula.  I’m supposed to be scrap booking, as this is technically a Scrapbook Retreat, but I really haven’t gotten much done in that department.  Instead, I have been chatting with my girlfriends, visiting with women that I haven’t seen in nearly a year and just hanging out.  This could be a version of heaven.

I think that the Olympic Peninsula is one of the most beautiful places on earth.  (Granted I’m not exactly a world traveler, but that’s besides the point) The view from my room (which happens to be an officer barrack) is of a small grassy park leading directly to the water.

I’ll try to post photos tomorrow but I just thought I would give you a little update.  I was quite surprised to discover that the area now had wireless internet access.

Off to have more fun!

I can’t wait to se the photos! Gosh. Imagine how much scrapbooking I could get done on a weekend getaway. Or at least I’d have a good time, even if I didn’t get much scrapbooking done.

I went to the Olympic peninsula. We stayed in Quinault at a little cabin in the woods. It was so incredibly beautiful. We drove out to hurricane ridge. It was just amazing. And you are right. I think it is one of the most beautiful places on earth. If you can take a walk through the rain forest. Its amazing.

Having been out of the US for almost 15 years, I have only heard of scrapbooking and never seen this new kind of scrapbook. Do you put in the usual scrapbook items – photos, ticket stubs, newspaper clippings? Can you post a photo of what you were working on? I don’t understand how you could build a whole weekend around scrapbooking even though it does sound pleasant.
