My Birthday and WWC

Weekend words are at the bottom…the rest is mostly for my mom but the rest of you are welcome to read along!

Yesterday, Shaun told me to “hurry up and get ready, we’re going to see a movie!”  This isn’t all that unusual, except for the fact that he wouldn’t tell me what movie it was and we weren’t bringing the girls.  He told me that it was for my birthday and that I would love it.

The movie was “Music and Lyrics”…a chick flick! Shaun never ever, ever wants to see that sort of thing, but he did it as a special gift for me… (the movie was a little slow in parts, but cute)

On my actual birthday, I was the Queen.  (The girls made sure I kept my tiara on)

As soon as Mimi  got home form school, she commandeered the kitchen and baked me a cake.  Her plan was to get it done before her father got home so that she could do a wonderful job decorating it all by herself.  She wasn’t very pleased with last year’s cake and was opposed to Shaun’s plan to just buy one.  (Birthday Cakes are never to be purchased in our family)

I liked it better without one certain candle…

After a dinner of take out pizza (we didn’t have time for the traditional Valentine Dinner of Chicken Cordon Bleu…my very favorite) We enjoyed my beautiful cake and I was presented with some wonderful gifts.

My very favorite is my new baby camera.  I’ve been longing for one that I can just tuck in my pocket and go.  My new camera came with some classes that I am also very excited about.  I won’t use them with the baby, but with my old camera…maybe I’ll finally learn how to use all the levers and switches and finally take it out of automatic! I had a wonderful birthday week…thanks to all who called, emailed and stopped by!

For today’s Weekend Word, hosted my Oddmix

The words are View and Conceal

I love the big view I get when looking through my baby camera

And I really love the fact that I can conceal it in one hand!

Did you play??

Thanks for the Birthday update, now I feel included. Mimi did a great job with your cake; tell her for me that I am proud of her. I remember when you wanted to make the “cake” all by yourself also. Now let me think how I can get that little camera away from you. You piggy, you already have a nice big one. Hee Hee.

I am totally jealous of your new little camera…and I would love to take classes. I have a big kodak that I use and I am just starting to figure it out. I would love to see what you are *really* suppose to do with them insead of how I use it….point click..if it’s in’s a miracle! Well…not that bad but you get the idea ;O)
