This week, Kristine has asked us to share a “leftover” of some sort. I’d share last night’s dinner, but we ate it all. So, instead, because I’m still whining about the snow, I’ll show you the snow left over on the road.
Now I realize that it doesn’t look like a lot, but trust me this slick, icy mess is a lot! (OK, you can stop laughing now!) The clear spot in the left of the photo is where Mimi tried to clear it out so we could leave the house yesterday. (She really, really didn’t want to work on her big school project)
I had to go to a meeting this morning and couldn’t get the MomMobile out of the driveway. So, I took the Jeep after promising to be back in time for Shaun to go to work. After driving about town, I’ve realized that this is the only area of road that has any ice at all on it! It’s that Weather Troll…out to get me!
On the positive side, aren’t these brave little flowers lovely?
I HATE snow. I need to move somewhere warm.
Our snow is almost all melted, thank goodness. I’m so sick of it! Your crocus is so pretty!
Brave? More like suicidal. Shouldn’t they be hibernating still? Or whatever flowers do in the snow?
My pic is the same theme as yours! Ha!
I played …
The picture of the flower brings me great hope for an early Spring.
Maybe you guys should put a snow plow kit on the front of the big orange jeep? Then somebody could plow your road. 😉
Katie-I *thought* I lived somewhere warm(ish)!
Lisa-thanks! There’s just a little bit left now…at least I’m not trapped
Tink-Well…it was spring like two days ago…poor little thing
Teena-great minds and all that 🙂
Ellie- Me too, me too…
Jay-HUSH!!! He doesn’t need any more accessory ideas!
I’m glad I don’t live in an area that gets a lot of snow. I played for the first time today. Have a great weekend!
It looks plenty icy and treacherous to me, but here in western Oregon, even an inch of snow shuts everything down. LOL! Love those little flowers pushing through it. Great SPF!
I played.
Love your crocus! Is this taken with the new camera? If so, it’s doing a great job! Hang in there, spring is on the way!
We had about 2 inches of drenching rain overnight and this morning. I have puddles and slushy snow everywhere. UGH.
That’s the neatest picture I have ever seen!!!! Brave flower indeed!
Beautiful picture of the brave little flowers.
Maybe the ice troll is just playing with you.
Those flowers poking through the snow are beautiful! Sorry about all the leftover snow though.
Happy SPF! Thanks for stopping by. 🙂
Diva and Suzanne- Well…we don’t usually get much snow here in Seattle…although it seems as though this year it’s taking more than an inch to shut us down. Yesterday was a snow day, our eighth one or something like that.
Lynne-Yep that was from my new baby camera. It’s in the first batch that I downloaded. I was wishing I had my big guy with me while I was using it, but I’m quite pleased with the result.
Arlene, Wananabe and Jenni-thanks! I got some stange looks when I was taking that photo, but I like the way it turned out.
linked to you from Kristine’s comments…
can’t even fathom snow..(live in central/south texas!)
beautiful flowers!
We got over 3 feet of snow in the last week in my neck of the woods. I’m jealous of the snowfall you’re getting there. I love the picture of the flowers in the snow. So pretty! Have a great party!
Nice party! I was downloading pics off our camera the other day and found a pic of a big yellow daisy sticking up in the snow. I was just delighted! But it turns out my dd had taken a flower from a boquet and stuck it in the snow and snapped a pic. It is very cool!
That tulip picture is GORGEOUS! I used to play SPF often, but I’ve sort of let it go. Think I”ll try to play again this week. THanks for stopping by my blawg…
What a great shot: who would expect to see vivid flowers poking out of the snow. As the world around me goes into deep-freeze, this picture gives me hope that it’ll be spring soon enough.
Wonderfully shot!
