There’s something about big school projects that gets the whole family involved. Yes, the project is supposed to be done by just the kid, but we can’t resist adding in our own ideas. Before the winter break, Mimi was to study and create a model of an atom and create a poster in the shape of something it was used for. “We”were assigned titanium.
Shaun helped her create the model using brass rings, wire, glue, an ornament and pom poms. I helped with the poster (all she would let me do was cut out the shape), KT proof-read and suggested covering the poster in foil to make it shiny. Mimi did all the research and did her best to make us all go away!
I hope we get an “A”
Well, I just happen to be a teacher, and the shiny foil and the pom poms alone would earn you an A in my class. Seriously, though, I love when families come together like this for a project. That, in my mind, is just as important as the finished product…maybe even a little bit more.
Wow what a great idea! I’m certain you (I mean Mimi) will get an A+!
If you guys .. I mean SHE doesn’t get an A you should all march into her teacher’s room and demand why you guys didn’t .. I mean SHE didn’t!!
Wow thats impressive!
Well done!! That would definitely have earned an A with my teachers way back when I was doing projects like that.
My daughter’s working on an English project and the subject is the election. I’m hiding in the corner!
Awww I love family… er um, school projects! My 26 year old son still talks about the historic house his dad and I made for his 4th grade history project … um, well, he helped… some. Good times!
You’re a great mom!! NLM is better at the school projects than I am. I hope you let us know if it gets a “A”. Good luck.
Very cute.. hope it gets an A too!!
Well, that’s certainly A worthy to me. Makes me kind of wish I could help someone with a school project, they are always fun (when you’re not the one who HAS to do it…haha).
a family project… and a great one at that.
more parents need to be proactive like this
“We” like those kinds of projects too! And I doubt it will earn an A.. more like an A+
