Our KT has been home from college for a four day weekend. She just happened to have a list of things that she needed to bring back to school with her. Doting parents that we are, we made it one of our family events to go shopping together for some of those items.
Once we entered the large, two-story box store, our girls took off giggling which left Shaun and I to wander around by ourselves. (Which can often be dangerous with so many eye-catching goodies about!) Our meandering led us to an odd display promoting a musical Halloween soap dispenser.
For some reason, this intrigued both of us. I watched while Shaun reached up to try out the “tester” that was part of the display. I have to admit that I was slightly annoyed when he pulled his hand back at the last moment.
“Why didn’t you pump it?” I asked at I pushed down on the pump and activated the music.
“That’s why.” He said as he nodded his head towards the huge orange glob of pumpkin scented soap that filled my hand.
Then he flashed me that smug little grin that says he’s right about something once again. I thought I showed admirable restraint in heading off to find a restroom instead of cleaning that smile off of him with my handful of soap.
I’m mature like that…
