In a nutshell
A Slice of my Life is my take on two teenagers, one husband and a whole slew of critters. Life around here is never boring!
Shaun (also referred to as my Beloved): Computer Nerd, WoW Geek and all around Nice Guy. (although sometimes I have to wonder if he's really just a 12 year old boy trapped in a 40 something year old man's body)
Kt-The Teenager: Our oldest daughter, college student, vegan, volunteer, high achiever with a goofy side.
Mimi-The Feisty Redhead: Still our baby girl, high school junior, Drama Queen, artistic and culinary inclined.
And then there’s me, Susan The one who adores them all! I hope you enjoy all the antics that go on in our little slice of the web.

Every time I look at the home screen on my phone, I have to smile. The photo is of a chubby two- year-old hand proudly holding up a wriggling worm. This, of course, makes me think of my dad. Now … Continue reading
I like to think of March as the Friday of the seasons. All the mundane grey of winter is nearly over and everyone is looking forward to the weekend…er…spring and summer. Yesterday I smiled as I checked on the progress … Continue reading
I’ve been sitting in my living room listening to the quiet. These quiet times are are rare and are something I truly treasure. They are a balm to my soul. I live in a noisy home. It seems as though … Continue reading
Don’t worry, it’s a new look, but it’s still me. My pal Bob The Rooster, let me know that he had to make a quick trip to Minnesota to visit his ailing Aunt Eunice. (Personally, I think it has more … Continue reading
Title apologies to Donny Osmond…I just couldn’t help it! (Did anyone else hope he’s showcase purple socks on dwts?) It all started back in October…no, I take that back…I think it really started way back in June or July. That’s … Continue reading
Like the pumpkin seeds from our Jack-O-Lantern. I washed them and put them in the oven so that I could have them ready to roast the next day. Then promptly forgot all about them. I never grew a pumpkin before…
