In a nutshell
A Slice of my Life is my take on two teenagers, one husband and a whole slew of critters. Life around here is never boring!
Shaun (also referred to as my Beloved): Computer Nerd, WoW Geek and all around Nice Guy. (although sometimes I have to wonder if he's really just a 12 year old boy trapped in a 40 something year old man's body)
Kt-The Teenager: Our oldest daughter, college student, vegan, volunteer, high achiever with a goofy side.
Mimi-The Feisty Redhead: Still our baby girl, high school junior, Drama Queen, artistic and culinary inclined.
And then there’s me, Susan The one who adores them all! I hope you enjoy all the antics that go on in our little slice of the web.
That’s So Yesterday

I grew up as pretty much a city girl. Or at least city enough to not have to worry about what happens after you flush the toilet. Out here, in the almost boonies, we have something called a septic tank. … Continue reading
For reasons unknown to me, my dad has been wanting me to tell this story. Personally, I think that there are some stories that really should be allowed to die a peaceful death, however… Eons ago, when I still lived … Continue reading
My best friend is someone that can be described as the Ultimate Hostess. She firmly believes in the Southern Hospitality that she grew up with. When you go to her house you are allowed (if you truly insist) to find … Continue reading
This weekend I was writing the date on something and realized that it was the weekend my baby brother was going to be in San Diego for a conference and meeting up with my folks. Mimi was with me at … Continue reading
