In a nutshell
A Slice of my Life is my take on two teenagers, one husband and a whole slew of critters. Life around here is never boring!
Shaun (also referred to as my Beloved): Computer Nerd, WoW Geek and all around Nice Guy. (although sometimes I have to wonder if he's really just a 12 year old boy trapped in a 40 something year old man's body)
Kt-The Teenager: Our oldest daughter, college student, vegan, volunteer, high achiever with a goofy side.
Mimi-The Feisty Redhead: Still our baby girl, high school junior, Drama Queen, artistic and culinary inclined.
And then there’s me, Susan The one who adores them all! I hope you enjoy all the antics that go on in our little slice of the web.

If you live in Seattle and happen to drive a Jeep, one of the first things you do when the weather finally acts like it might be summer, is take your top down. (And, if you are my husband, take … Continue reading
Shaun and I were in the hardware store On A Mission for a very important doohickey that he needed desperately. I happily followed along admiring all the fun eye candy. (Seriously, I like hardware stores!) When we came to a … Continue reading
Shaun came bounding up the stairs as he always does, drawn by the smell of dinner nearly ready to be put on the table. “It smells good,” he said, peering over my shoulder and into the pan I was rapidly … Continue reading
This evening I called Shaun and told him I needed him to hurry home from work to rescue me. We had been invaded by a Man Eating Slug. I had to keep an eye on it to make sure it … Continue reading
I was walking down the hall way and poked my head in Mimi’s room just to say hello and see what she was up to. As is often the case lately, she was so engrossing in what she as doing … Continue reading
