In a nutshell
A Slice of my Life is my take on two teenagers, one husband and a whole slew of critters. Life around here is never boring!
Shaun (also referred to as my Beloved): Computer Nerd, WoW Geek and all around Nice Guy. (although sometimes I have to wonder if he's really just a 12 year old boy trapped in a 40 something year old man's body)
Kt-The Teenager: Our oldest daughter, college student, vegan, volunteer, high achiever with a goofy side.
Mimi-The Feisty Redhead: Still our baby girl, high school junior, Drama Queen, artistic and culinary inclined.
And then there’s me, Susan The one who adores them all! I hope you enjoy all the antics that go on in our little slice of the web.

Last week I was referred to a new doctor. As she looked over the information I had jotted down on the pile of forms each medical office seems to demand, this new doctor paused and said, “I like your name.” … Continue reading
I was about 19 when a friend of mine started talking about football. It must’ve been shortly after New Year’s because I remember that I had recently watched the Rose Bowl Parade on television. In my innocence, I asked how … Continue reading
I’d say that it couldn’t possibly be December already, but there is a huge tree filled with twinkling fairy lights tucked in the corner of my living room proving me wrong. Normally, we wouldn’t have a tree up quite this … Continue reading

We like traditions in our family. We have one for each and every holiday you can imagine as well as some holidays we made up that aren’t as well known. For Mother’s Day, our tradition has always been to let … Continue reading
